Bouli Bar

A recent trip to the San Francisco ferry building brought me to Bouli Bar. An offshoot of Boulette's Larder, the eatery sits proudly among the other marketplace venues.

Bouli's menu is an interesting mix of inspiring and decadent. Expect to see an array of pizzas, pitas with toppings, and creative salads. Check out the full menu here. Dishes are on the pricier side, but the restaurant's setting makes for a nice, slower-paced meal.

I decided on the vegetarian farmhouse lunch. The artistic plating brought two things to mind: fancy and fresh. Hearty lentils clung lovingly to delicate black quinoa, making for a truly unique foundation. Caramelized cabbage, purslane, and spicy tomato relish added quite the kick to my satisfying lunch.

Needless to say, I'll be going back in the near future (:

Bouli Bar is open for lunch service Tuesday - Saturday from 11am-3pm, and serves lunch to go from 12-2pm.
